![]() Welcome to the George Inn, situated in the heart of Chideock on the West Dorset heritage coastline on the main A35. This charming old world thatched country inn is located under the Golden Cap estate approximately half a mile from the coast at Seatown. A warm friendly atmosphere is guaranteed by your landlord Paul Crisp, and his team of chefs, waiting staff, bar personnel and plenty of locals either using the George for a swift pint of Palmers ale or dining out for the evening. The George is a seventeenth century pub dating back from 1685 providing facilities for everyone. We have a 50 cover non-smoking restaurant area where you can while away an evening sampling some local seafood with a bottle of wine. Alternatively large parties and families can use the informal dining areas at the rear of the pub. For those of you who would like a quiet pint, why not slip into our snug bar by the log fire and listen to some of our locals telling stories about their homemade ciders. |

During the summer
months when the flames of our real log fire have been extinguished you will
find our secluded patio garden an ideal place to spend a lunchtime or evening. With ample parking, lunchtime and evening menus available, wonderful beers and wines combined with a friendly greeting, the George is an experience not to be missed.
